Gun Violence Deaths Nearly Double Compared to 2019

NYPD released new figures that display a nearly doubled rise in gun violence deaths this year compared to last.

As of Wednesday, 209 people were shot and killed across the five boroughs; in 2019, during the same period, there were 109.

Out of 1,106 violent incidents occurring since Wednesday, 1,362 people were shot, which is more than double compared to 575 shootings with 674 victims last year.
