BDE; Reb Eliezer Ostreicher Z”l from Belz.

We are saddened to inform of the petira of Reb Eliezer Ostreicher, a holocaust survivor with the Nazi Ym”s numbers etched into his arm, has passed away on Sunday at the age of 93.

Reb Eliezer was a Belzer Chusid, and one of the close Chasidim to the Rebbe. He performed at weddings in the Chasidus and entertained the Rebbe and Chasidim by playing music.

He was a very respected man in the Kehila, and always walked around with a smile, sharing his words of wisdom and Holocaust survival stories with anyone around him.

Reb Eliezer was active in many of the Askunis in the Belzer Kehila in Boro Park, where he is survived by children and grandchildren who continue to assist with Askunis in the Kehila.
