Yid Struck By Drunk Driver Scheduled for Surgery on Legs

Boro Park - A frum man who was run over by a drunk driver as he stepped out of his vehicle is scheduled for surgery on both of his legs.

The victim, who is 50 years old, was struck by a vehicle on Sunday afternoon on 16th Ave. and 63rd Street. He suffered injuries to a hand and both legs and was transported to Maimonides Medical Center by Hatzolah.

In a surveillance video, the victim is seen stepping out of his parked white minivan when a blue Honda car suddenly speeds by, pressing him against his vehicle and knocking him to the ground. The female driver, who was drunk, fled the scene. The NYPD told boropark24.com that they are searching for the suspect.

The victim, whose name for tefilla is Shlomo Tzvi ben Feiga, is scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday. His injuries are not life threatening.
