WhatsApp Offers a Variety of Lengths of Time in Which to Mute Chats

  Are you on WhatsApp chats that you find disruptive to your concentration or sanity during the day, but you don’t want leave for social reasons? Are you the member of chats for which you don’t feel the need to see every single thing people post?

  WhatsApp now offers users a great solution, and no one’s feelings need to be hurt. Instead of WhatsApp’s previous muting option, which was for users to mute the selected chats for one year, now WhatsApp offers options for users to mute chats for eight hours, one week, or always.

   When people send messages to WhatsApp users who muted their chat, the message-senders will able to send the users’ messages, see their statuses, and view their profile pictures, however, users who muted their chats will not get any type of disruptive notifications: whether by sound or vibration.   

    WhatsApp users can mute the chats of their choice, by first selecting the individual or group chat to be muted, and then under “Press Options,” users can select “Mute,” and then Select the length of time for which you would like to mute those notifications.
