Mrs. Raizy Pavlov Offers Three-Day Pre-Pesach Program for Girls and Boys This Week

Parents who have not heard of Mrs. Raizy Pavlov’s three-day Pre-Pesach Program for girls and boys, which will take place Tues. to Thurs., might have already dreamed about it.

For the past 10 years, so that parents do not have to simultaneously clean, cook, and entertain little ones after school gets out for Pesach, Mrs. Pavlov, who is the founder and director of Funtastic, a talent school and Sunday program, has been providing a three-day mini-camp that starts with davening, and then provides non-stop engaging activities, such as competitive outdoor sports, painting, drawing, foam art, beading, jewelry-making, and ceramics.

“The kids cannot get bored because the activities change every 30 minutes,” explained Mrs. Pavlov, who also provides healthy snacks and catered lunches of pizza or bagels and vegetables that kids enjoy, such as baby carrots, pickles, and peppers. “There is always something new happening, so the kids don’t even have time to catch their breath. There is very little down-time.”

“After lunch, the kids are treated to Mrs. Pavlov’s specialty: dance and aerobics classes that are followed by a whole room full of jumping and play equipment, such as moon bounces and air trampolines.

After all the jumping, which all mothers know is the best possible thing for kids to do when they are off from school, Mrs. Raizy’s Pre-Pesach campers are treated to the main activity of each day, which is an exciting and fun show with professional entertainers, such as the Parrot Rebbe, Danny the Clown; John Turdo, the Master Magician; and the Urban Jungle Reptile Show.

What makes Mrs. Pavlov’s Pre-Pesach program stand apart, she said, is that it is a very well run, organized, supervised program.

“Every kid is labeled, with a sticker with his or her name and crucial information, such as whether they have allergies,” Mrs. Pavlov said. “We know where everyone is all the time.”

The kids are separated by grades, and everyone is divided into small groups that are staffed by counselors who are and trained for safety care.

“It is just a very warm, loving environment,” Mrs. Pavlov said with a smile. “The kids come from different schools, and they don’t know each other at first, but within two hours, everyone is warmed up, and ready to make friends that last forever.”

Whenever kids are out of school, we want to give their parents a break, said Mrs. Pavlov, who also makes camps for the days in-between camp and school.

“We want to help parents to make Pesach without having the kids under their skin,” she said. “The kids look forward to it all year.”

Mrs. Pavlov’s Pre-Pesach Program will take place March 23 to 25 from 10am to 4pm at Shalsheles Bais Yaakov, which is located at 4001 16th Ave.

Space is limited, so registrants are asked to please sign up before Sunday night, March 21 by going online at funtastictalent.com. By Monday, online registration will close. Starting Monday, parents are asked to text 1-234-Fun-Fun4, which is (234) 386-3864, to see what slots are still available.
