Boro Park – The Pupa kehilla of Boro Park bid farewell to their longtime dayan as he prepares to relocate to London to become rav of the Satmar kehilla there.

The kehilla held a seudas pereida for Rav Moshe Menachem Weiss on Motzei Shabbos, with the personal attendance of the Rebbe Shlita. He is scheduled to leave on Wednesday.

Rav Weiss served in his outgoing position for the past three decades, ever since the Pupa Rebbe shlita appointed him as dayan in 1990.

“The rebbe appointed him to be on top of the kehilla, to organize the matza bakery, to organize the shechita, and conduct Shiurim, pasken Shalos etc.” one member of the community told boropark24.com. “He was on top all aspects of the kehillah since 5750.”

Rav Weiss has deep roots in London, where his father-in-law served as Shotzer Rav for many years. He himself is a first cousin to the present Pupa Rebbe. The rebbe’s late mother, the Pupa Rebetzen AH, was a sister to Rav Weiss’s mother.
