Old Tappan Zee Bridge Removal Today

8 May 2018 3:54 PM

Parts of the Tappan Zee bridge, now known as the Mario M. Cuomo bridge, were lowered and removed today. It took several hours to lower the middle piece onto a barge. The center piece alone weighs about 10 million pounds.
Governor Cuomo took reporters and photographers on a boat to show them the activity at the bridge.
