Remembering the Novominsker Rebbe zt”l: Darchei Torah Hosting Azkara

Far Rockaway - The Far Rockaway community will hold a memorial for the Novominsker rebbe zt”l on Thursday night “for us to be inspired and uplifted by the [rebbe’s] selfless life.”

The rebbe, Rav Yaakov Perlow, was niftar before Pesach at age 89 during the height of the coronavirus. Due to the circumstances he had a small levaya, but there have been several remembrances in his memory that have attracted thousands of listeners by telephone or by Zoom.

The event, which will be emceed by Rav Eytan Feiner of The White Shul, is hosted by Yeshiva Darchei Torah. The rosh yeshiva, Rav Yaakov Bender, will deliver a speech, as well as Rabbi Shmuel Bloom, the executive vice president emeritus of Agudath Israel of America, and Rav Elisha Horowitz, the rav of Khal Agudas Achim and a son-in-law of the rebbe.
