President Trump and First Lady Wish American Jews a “Joyous Festival of Lights”

    “We send our warmest greetings to the millions of Jewish people in the United States and around the world as they begin the celebration of Chanukah and the miracle that kept the flames of the menorah burning in the Second Temple for eight nights,” President Trump said in a press release, on behalf of himself and First Lady Melania Trump.

   In his statement, President Trump highlighted the Jewish people’s perseverance and faith in which the menorah’s lit candles have symbolized for two thousand years.

    “Over the past four years, my administration has stood in unwavering solidarity with the Jewish people,” said Trump, who took pride in his part to broker historic peace deals between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Sudan.

   Normalizing relations between Israel and other countries, means that direct commercial flights will now be available among the countries, the countries will share air space, exchange delegates, allow for embassy applications, and band together against common enemies, such as Iran.

   The Abraham Accords bring about unprecedented opportunities for enhancing stability and prosperity in the Middle East, said President Trump, who added that “the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel has never been stronger.”

   “As we enter this season of celebration and reflection, we must continue to build on this progress and work toward a brighter and more secure future in the Middle East and around the world,” said the president who wished all American Jews a joyous Festival Of Lights and a Happy Chanukah.
