New Recipe: Secret Ingredient Fudgy Brownies
I have a confession to make. There is a secret ingredient in this recipe that makes it be so delicious and fudgy. It’s an avocado... shhh!! It’ll be our secret. No one has to know because you don’t taste it! It wasn’t added to make it healthy (The fewer calories are just an added bonus) It was added for the amazing texture it gives the cake! For best results use Hass Avocados
4 eggs
2 cups sugar, sifted
1 1/4 cups cocoa powder, sifted
1/4 cup potato starch
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
8 oz avocado, mashed (approx 1 large)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1: Preheat your oven to three hundred fifty degrees
2: Crack the eggs in a large mixing bowl and using a hand mixer, whip until light yellow and fluffy
3: Add the rest of your ingredients and mix until fully incorporated
4: Line an eight by eight pan with parchment paper and gently fold the mixture in to the pan
5: Place in the oven and bake for forty minutes. After forty minutes stick in a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean your brownies are ready. If not, leave them in for an additional five minutes. Be careful as you don’t want to over bake them. Cool, slice and enjoy!
Note: This recipe yields an 8x8 pan. To fit a 9x13 simply double the recipe
Tip: Be sure that your oven is actually at the right temperature by placing an oven thermometer inside the oven. Most ovens don’t read accurately
