Cop Seen Buying From Lemonade Stands Run by 'Molly Pitcher'

Boro Park - Molly, a Boro Park girl who set up a lemonade stand on a day with no school, caught a good break Thursday when a cop bought a cup and gave her four times the price.

Molly and her sister set up the lemonade stand in front of their house on 53rd Street between 18th and 19th avenues, and sold the sweet beverage at a quarter a cup. She sold four pitchers by late afternoon when her lucky moment arrived.

A police officer passing by purchased a cup, paying a dollar for the 25-cent drink and telling the little proprietor to keep the change.

"We were bored because there's no school," Molly told BoroPark24.com. "The police officer came. He was very kind. He gave us a dollar and it really was 25 cents. He just said 'have a good day.'"

Molly said she is planning on opening her booth for business on Sunday as well.
