BDE: Reb Binyomin Zev Rosenberg, z”l

We are saddened to inform you of the petirah of R’ Binyomin Zev Rosenberg, a talmid chochom and yerei Shomayim. He was 75 years of age. 

The niftar was born to his father, Reb Shloime Rosenberg, soon after the war—and truly represented the first postwar generation of rebuilding. He grew up in the glow of the Satmar Rebbe, zt”l, and was raised on a tradition of Torah and yiras Shomayim. 

He was the son in law of Meir Leib Goldstein, a well-known Satmar chossid. 

Even during his working years, he dedicated many hours to learning Torah. But when he retired, he spent his entire day immersed in learning. 

“For years, he would spend the entire day learning in the heichal haTorah at the Satmar beis medrash on 53rd Street,” recalled a brother-in-law. 

“His Varemkeit, Middos tovos, and ever-present smile were a true complement to his prowess in Torah and hasmodoh b’Torah,” he recalled.

The niftar was dedicated to his children and grandchildren, and was greatly admired by all who knew him. 

The levaya will take place later today at the Satmar beis medrash on 53rd Street, and kevurah will be in Kiryas Yoel.
