Traffic Light Installed on 18th Avenue and 54th Street

Boro Park – An intersection in Boro Park right next to a large yeshiva and one that has been the scene of several accidents had a traffic light installed Thursday by the department of transportation.

Workers put up the red-light green-light on the corner of 18th Ave. and 54th Street, which is right next to Yeshiva Karlin Stolin.

There have been several accidents on the intersection over the past few years. The sign is part of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Vision Zero campaign to lower traffic fatalities.
