Shomrim Warn of New Roadside Scam

Boro Park – Shomrim are warning Boro Park residents of a new scam, in which a person pretends passing cars nicked him in the arm.

Shomrim distributed a picture of a suspect behind several of these incidents. The man, the volunteer neighborhood watch group said, would double park his vehicle and play with the mirror. He then would claim that passing cars hit and injured his fingers.

In exchange for not filing a police report, he would tell his victim, he demanded cash.

The license plate numbers of the suspect’s two car are LDL-2140 and JLS-6306.
