The grand opening of the PECC (Parent Engagement Community Center) at Bais Esther, in Borough Park, Brooklyn. The PECC was the brainchild of Caren Zayde Moncher, Executive Director, Division of Nonpublic Schools, NYC DOE, in cooperation with Agudath Israel of America and other nonpublic school leaders. The PECC opening at Bais Esther is historic, as one of the first to open in the nation under the new federal educational law, Every Student Succeeds Act. The PECC is designed to enhance the engagement and collaboration between parents and schools toward the common goal of bringing the best educational resources and tools for each child.
