WhatsApp Users Can Now Place Video Calls on Desktop Computers

Zoom has some competition for video calls, meetings, and classes that are held online, as WhatsApp users were notified today that they can now place video calls on desktop computers.
“Bigger screen, always private with end-to-end encryption,” WhatsApp said in a status.
Although WhatsApp is known for its user-friendly messaging interface and its high-quality video calls on phones, until now, users of the popular platform were not able to make video calls on their desktops.
While other video platforms, such as Skype, Viber, OoVoo, and Google Hangouts were popular before COVID-19, the pandemic, of course, greatly increased the use of video calls, which enabled so many around the world to communicate, meet, and interact without travel or violating social distancing protocols.
