West Coast Wildfire Smoke Reaches NYC

Smoke from devastating West Coast wildfires has moved overhead, reaching New York City Tuesday.

"The smoke will remain elevated between 15,000 and 20,000 feet above our heads," the forecasting service said, meaning ground-level air quality will have limited effects.

The National Weather Service's of New York said signs of smoke include a "yellow or brown tinge" haze.
