US Government Nearing Plan for Additional Stimulus Payment

Congress is negotiating a plan for a second round of stimulus checks. 

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said that, “Our proposal is the exact same provision as last time.” 

Despite having not yet reached a final agreement, the current plan would result in all families and singles receiving the same stimulus payment that they received in the last round of funding. This would $1,200 for singles and $2,400 for couple plus $500 for each child. The payments would be full until an individual reaches $99,000 in income or $198,000 for a couple.
