Urgent Asifah of Rabbonim and Admorim at Home of the Munkatcher Rebbe

The issue of the government regulations threatening the nature of our children’s chinuch is on the front burner of our community’s minds. 

This afternoon an urgent asifah was held regarding this issue, with the participation of askonim and Rabbonim. 

Following the initial issuance of guidelines, and the community’s fierce defense of our yeshivas (through court battles and tens of thousands of petitions [comments] to the Board of Regents, New York State is set to issue revised guidelines in the coming weeks.

It brought together Rabbi Moshe Duvid Niederman from the Satmar community, Rabbi Chaim Dovid Zweibel, and attorney Mr. Avi Schick, who have been at the forefront of this battle for the soul of our chinuch—along with Rabbonim from the communities of Satmar, Pupa, Bobov, Viznitz, Vien, Kashau, Bobov-45, and a number of others.

The meeting was closed to anyone but the Rabbonim as they unite with resolve in the face of this dire threat.
