Uber to Resume Ridesharing under UberX Share

In a sign that the last pandemic-era restrictions are finally falling away, Uber announced that it will resume its ridesharing feature—enabling riders to pool when going in the same directions as others, and saving money this way.
The resumed service will be called UberX Share
UberX Share is now available in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, San Diego, Phoenix, Indianapolis, Portland and Pittsburgh, the company said in a press release. It also plans to add the service in more cities.
This comes at a time when prices are at all-time highs due to the historically high fuel prices.
Uber says customers can save up to 20% of the fare when using UberX Share.
