Two Teenagers Rescued From River in Liberty

Liberty - Two Teenagers were rescued Tuesday afternoon from a river on Stanton Corners Road, In Ferndale, Near Camp Bais Yaakov.

The teenagers were boating in an inflatable boat when the storm surge — brought on by recent heavy rains — cut off their route back to shore and left them stranded on an island.

After an intense operation, the two teenagers were rescued and taken to safety.

Fire Departments from Liberty & Rock Hill, EMS, State Police, and Hatzolah were all on scene.
