Twitter Halts Text Notifications in Most Countries Including U.S.

Twitter has confirmed that they’ve suspended the SMS notification option inlet countries, including the United States, as of Thursday night.

In email messages from Twitter support, first published on Dans Deals, the social media company confirmed that they’ve suspended the option. “We’ve seen vulnerabilities with SMS text messages, so we’re turning off our Twitter via SMS feature,” the company said.

The SMS notifications was a great option for those with basic phones that couldn’t receive their news or updates any other way.
