Tonight: ‘Fall Back’ Means Earlier Nightfall

This Motzei Shabbos at 2:00 in the morning, clocks will fall back one hour, giving us an extra hour to this night. It also means the start of shorter days. 

For Torah-observant Yidden this means needing to daven mincha earlier every day, and Shabbos coming in much earlier. 

Fire departments traditionally remind the public to check their smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and change their batteries, an effort that can save lives in the event of a fire or a gas leak, chas v’sholom.
