Tonight: Atzeres Hesped in Memory of the Kossover Rebbe Zt"l in Satmar Shul

The Satmar Shul on 53rd Street had an Zechiya few other shuls had: the Kossover Rebbe chose it as his daily location for Shachris and learning.

Every early morning, for many hours, the Rebbe would daven Shachris, in one of the Shtiblech in Satmar, with tremendous dveikas and ahavas Hashem.

After Shachris, he would go down to the big Heichel Hatorah Beis Chaya to immerse himself in the world of Torah. Despite being a prominent Rebbe, he approached his learning with the humility and enthusiasm of a young yeshiva bochur, always eager for another piece of Torah.

The Rebbe also used to come annually to speak to the kehila during the summer weeks as part of the Tuesday Shiurim program.

Tonight, the kehila will gather to mourn the loss felt by all of Klal Yisroel, and especially by the Satmar BP Kehila.

The event will take place in the big shul at 1350-53rd St at 9:30 pm.
