TOMORROW: FDNY Invites Community To Menorah Lighting Event

By BoroPark24 Staff
For the first time in many years, the FDNY, in conjunction with the NYPD 66th Precinct, are hosting an exciting Chanukah menorah lighting event for the entire Boro Park community.
Hundreds of residents are expected to attend, as its the perfect opportunity to meet with the firefighters, learn about fire safety in relevance to Chanukah, and express appreciation to the local fire station for their hard work in the community.
“We’re excited about, it hasn’t happened in the fire department in a long time,” FDNY Commissioner Robert Tucker told BoroPark24. “We’re bringing it back, and we’re working with the 66th precinct to make sure it’s a successful event.”
The event will take place tomorrow, Sunday afternoon 4:30-5:30, at the fire station located on 12th Ave.
