New York - Tens of thousands of wireless customers in cities around the country face busy signals and out of service messages amid an outage affecting some of the largest companies.

T-mobile, Sprint, AT&T and Verizon are reporting problems with calls and texts in dozens of regions, including New York, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta Los Angeles.

It is unclear when service will be restored. None of the companies have made public announcements about the outage.
