Temperatures to Heat up Today, then Cool off for Yom Kippur
As Boro Parkers prepare for Yom Kippur, the temperatures are heating up: going as high as 87 degrees on Wednesday.
Residents should remember to drink extra fluids tomorrow, not just for the mitzvah of eating and drinking to prepare for the fast, said weather enthusiast Yaker Biegeleisen, but also to stay hydrated in the warm weather.
Yom Kippur day should cool off to 77 degrees, and weather forecasters predict a chance that scattered thunderstorms will develop, as the day progresses.
“ The rain would drastically decrease the opportunity to make Kiddush Levana on Motzei Yom Kippur,” said Mr. Biegeleisen, who added that the nice weather will stay with us through Shabbos, the weekend before the hot weather arrives for the first days of Sukkos.
