Special Weather Statement: Dense Fog Expected in Brooklyn

By Y.M. Lowy
Residents of Brooklyn should prepare for areas of fog during this evening’s commute, with some locations experiencing dense fog that may significantly reduce visibility.
According to weather officials, visibilities could drop to as low as 1/4 mile or less at times, creating hazardous travel conditions.
Motorists are advised to use low beam headlights, drive cautiously, and allow extra travel time. Sudden changes in visibility can occur, so drivers should remain alert and avoid distractions.
Pedestrians and cyclists should also exercise caution, as reduced visibility can make it harder for drivers to see them.
The foggy conditions are expected to persist into the evening before gradually improving. Stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure a safe commute.
