TEHILLIM: Boro Park Bachur in Critical Condition from Heatstroke on Mt. Hermon
Pinchas Menachem ben Daliah, a bachur from the Gerer community in Boro Park is in urgent need of our tefillos Monday evening. He collapsed from heatstroke while on an outing in Israel’s north.
A large amount of bachurim from the Gerer community in the United States learn in Eretz Yisroel’s Gerer yeshivos, and in the summer bein hazmanim—while their Israeli counterparts return home—camps are created for these boys, wherein they tour the holy land of Eretz Yisroel in groups.
Monday afternoon—during a severe heatwave in Israel—a group of bachurim were hiking a particularly treacherous trail on Mt. Hermon, when Pinchos Menachem began feeling unwell. He soon collapsed from heatstroke and dehydration.
However, due to the remoteness of the location, and the treacherousness of the terrain, it took rescue crews hours to reach him—ultimately evacuating him by MDA helicopter hours later, at 11:00 pm.
He is now ventilated, in critical condition, at the Ziv Hospital in Tzefas.
Klal Yisroel is asked to daven for his speedy recovery.
