Tefillos: Rav Twersky Injured in Boro Park Fire Overnight

A  large fire blazed through an apartment on 15th avenue in the early hours of Friday morning, causing injury and much damage.

 At about 3 a.m., a Boro Park Shomrim patrol car driving down 15th avenue on a routine patrol through the quiet streets, spotted smoke emanating from the large apartment building on 15th Avenue and 47th street.

 They immediately alerted the fire department and Hatzolah, who promptly evacuated the building. It took about 20 minutes to extinguish the blaze, which cause heavy damage—but none as severe as critically injuring Rav Leibel Twersky, shlit”a, a son of the Faltishaner Rebbe, and a scion of the Skverer dynasty.

 Rav Twersky was transported to Maimonides Medical Center from smoke inhalation. Toward morning his condition stabilized. He remains in need of a big yeshuah.
