Suspect Charged In 16th Avenue Hate Crimes Says, "I'm Sorry"

Twenty-year-old suspect Daniel Shaukat said he was sorry about the hate crimes he committed with two other suspects, as he was walked out of the 66th Precinct, which is located at 5822 16th Ave.
This afternoon, Shaukat was arrested on charges of aggravated harassment and perpetrating hate crimes after harassing and threatening Yidden in front of the Agudath Israel shul on 16th Avenue and punching and harassing two yeshiva boys in Flatbush on Shabbos.
As Shaukat was led out of the 66th, while photographers feverishly snapped his picture, reporters asked the perpetrator of two anti-Semitic hate crimes, “Do you have anything to say? Do you want to say you are sorry?”
“Are you sorry?”
After hanging his head and taking 13 silent steps, Shaukat briefly looked up, and said, “I’m sorry,” right before he was put into a car.
