Suspect Attacks Innocent Driver, Arrested by NYPD with help of BSSP

A couple attending a pidyon haben this afternoon at the Sisu v’Simchu Hall on 18th Avenue received a welcome they did not anticipate. With the area being busy, with a dearth of parking space, the couple waited, double parked, for a spot to materialize.

A suspect walked up to the vehicle and began yelling incoherently at the driver, and banging at the car. After he caused damage to the mirror, the driver got out and warned him to stop, enraging the man, who physically attacked him.

He called Boro Park Shomrim who were soon on the scene. They summoned the NYPD who arrested him with the help of an ambulance from FDNY, due to his inebriated state.

It is unclear if charges will be filed. But at this moment, he no longer poses a danger to Boro Park residents.
