Suspect Arrested for Assaulting A Truck Driver after Accident

A suspect was arrested by the NYPD after he assaulted a the driver of a truck he rear-ended on Tuesday night.

The accident occurred on 44th Street between 14th and 15th Avenues. The suspect who appeared to be driving while under the influence rear-ended a truck. When the Truck driver exited his vehicle to check for damages the driver of the car started punching him.

Shomrim was immediately called to the scene and they observed the suspect breaking mirrors and hitting other people. After he was followed and was caught and held down until police showed up and arrested the suspect.
