Sun, Moon Looking Different as Midwest Wildfires Haze Over NYC

New York - The sun and moon will feature flaming colors on Tuesday as haze and smoke from the wildfires burning across the Midwestern United States and Southern Canada float over New York City.

"The fires will be giving us an interesting sunrise, sunset, and moon," said Yaker Biegeleisen, a weather enthusiast. "The sun and moon will have beautiful colors."

Tuesday will be hot, with temperatures in the 90s. The heat will break in the evening a passing thunderstorm rolls through the region.

The fresh cooler weather will be felt across our area and will be followed by a picture-perfect weekend of nice weather and a dry smoke-free sky.
