State Education Commissioner Resigns

The New York State Education interim Commissioner, Shannon Tahoe, resignation was announced this morning. Ms. Tahoe had served in the education department for the past 17 years. Her retirement follows a difficult set of months as the State battled coronavirus.
Ms. Tahoe succeeded the previous commissioner who resigned only months ago.
The Board of Regents has said this morning in a statement that they will he appointing a new interim commissioner as they continue to conduct a nationwide search for a permanent leader.
