Small Fire Extinguished at Brooklyn Square Loading Dock

This morning, firefighters had to work extra hard to extinguish a fire that broke out on the loading dock at Brooklyn Square on 14th Avenue and 37th Street.

Although firefighters responded quickly to extinguish the flames, the FDNY had to work fast to bring hoses all the way down 37th Street, which does not have any fire hydrants between 14th and 15th Avenues.

Videos showed a pile of trash burning in flames on the loading dock of the commercial building.

The fire also burned into a small part of the building on the first floor, causing damage to the building’s windows and walls..
