Slabodka Rosh Yeshivah Plans Trip to America

Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch, the Rosh Yeshivah of Slobodka, has confirmed that he will be coming to America for an extended trip after Shavuous.

The goal of the trip will be to set up a fund called “Olam HaTorah,” which will finance yeshivas and kollelim in Eretz Yisroel. 

The Rosh Yeshivah decided to undertake this trip after the Israeli government threatened to cut funding for kollelim and yeshivas, which would put an enormous financial strain on these institutions. The Rosh Yeshivah’s goal is for the fund to be able to support those yeshivas and ensure that they can continue operating. 

Next week Sunday the Rosh Yeshivah will be the guest of honor at the third annual “Adiri Hatorah” event at BMG in Lakewood, where he will talk about the fund and be m’chazek the crowd on kavod haTorah.
