Skverer Rebbe Attends Kvias Mezuzah for Heichal HaTorah at “14 Shtiebel”

Skverer Shtieblech—their outposts of Torah and chassidus—throughout Boro Park, are generally known by the streets where they’re situated. The “Fertzen Shtiebel,” one of the relatively newer Skverer Boro Park Shuls, has been situated on 14th Avenue in Boro Park since its founding twenty years ago.

 Since that time it has brought a special flavor to the neighborhood, and enriched the lives of those who are fortunate to frequent it.

 After a number of temporary locations, the shtiebel purchased a property on the corner of 40th street and 14th Avenue, which it has steadily been renovating and expanding.

 The recently completed Mikva is magnificent, and has really added to this area of Boro Park. Also recently completed is a “Heichal haTorah” on the lower level, which enables people to come in and be kovei’ah ittim for stretches of time, undisturbed.

 Monday afternoon, the Skverer Rebbe arrived especially from New Square for the kvias mezuzah of this beautiful Heichal, and to draw pride from the growth and the expansion of the unique brand of Skverer Chassidus in this corner of Boro Park and beyond.
