Sipuk Clinic Opens its Doors to Provide Mental Health Services

At the sumptuous luncheon in the magnificent conference room, Mr. Hershel Wertheimer, Executive Director, stepped up to speak, ”What spurred it all—despite the years of work, endless application processes, and constant roadblocks—was the mission to help Yiddishe kinder suffering from mental health challenges. We have baruch Hashem hired the real McCoy in the mental health field, Mr. Mutty Solomon, Director of Sipuk Clinic, who has invested his whole heart and soul to heal heart and soul. His neverending ambition, drive, and talent is what got us here.”

Mr. Solomon got up to speak. “This is a big milestone, and we’ve worked long and hard to bring it to fruition. We’re putting together a team of skilled psychiatrists, social workers, and therapists who will be offering their services covered through insurance. We’re looking forward to making a difference and filling the gaping need of so many in Klal Yisrael.”

R’ Meyer Wertheimer, the founder of Hamaspik, expressed the significance of this milestone so aptly. “For 35 years, I have been helping those with special needs. I’m honored that my son Hershel has taken the passion for helping people to the next level—assisting those suffering from mental health challenges. And believe me, this mental health revolution is not limited to the clinic. When someone is approved by the state to run a clinic, they are trusted to begin offering many more vital services. This is only the beginning.”
