Simcha Felder Enters Race for NYC Council Special Election

By BoroPark24 Staff

Sources tell BoroPark24 that Simcha Felder has filed to run in the upcoming City Council special election to fill the seat expected to be vacated on January 1, following Kalman Yeger’s anticipated move to the New York State Assembly.

The election date, which will be set by the NYC Mayor, is expected to take place in late February or early March.

Councilman Yeger recently secured a victory for the Assembly’s 41st District in the general election. Meanwhile, Simcha Felder, who was re-elected to his State Senate seat in the 22nd District, would see a special election scheduled for his Senate seat if he wins the City Council race.

As of now, no other candidates have announced their intentions to run for the Council seat.
