Severe Storms and High Temperatures Expected Across the Tri-State Area

The first 2020 heat wave in the tri-state area drags on for a fifth day Wednesday, this time high temperatures come with a threat of severe storms.
Storms most likely occur during afternoon and night hours between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. Some could include harsh winds, hail, torrential rain, it can become hazardous and may cause damage. Isolated tornados are also a concern during this time.
Temperatures are expected to hit 90 degrees Wednesday ahead of the storms, the humidity will make it feel even warmer. Heat indicators say it may top 100 in many areas during the day.
Thursday is expected to near 90, but may fall just below breaking the 5-day heatwave streak.
The same pattern changes are expected for Friday and Shabbos, with lower humidity, before the temperature will rebound back on Sunday.
