Seasonal Green Market Reopens in Boro Park

By Idy Perl
Boro Park's farmers market is back! GrowNYC Greenmarket has announced the opening of 22 farmers markets across the five boroughs this summer.
GrownNYC’s markets bring fresh, delicious produce from local farms to communities in New York, with this year’s farm network doubling in size from last year.
The Boro Park market is located at 14th Ave between 49th and 50th St and is open every Thursday from 8AM-2PM. The market opened on July 11th and will run through November 21. Payment in cash or credit, as well as EBT/SNAP/WIC, is accepted.
“The seasonal bounty and selection of producers at GrowNYC Greenmarket sites is unparalleled, from just-picked fruits and vegetables, artisan breads & baked goods, jams, fresh caught fish, maple syrup, flowers, and so much more week after week, all season long,” Director of GrowNYC, Angela Davis, said. “Swing by the market information tent for special cooking demonstrations, seasonal programming, and learn more about how to use your nutrition benefits to purchase the freshest produce in the Northeast!"
On the opening date, Assemblyman Simcha Eichenstein visited the local market and shared afterwards on X: "Boro Park’s GrowNYC Greenmarket is back! I was pleased to attend this morning’s season opening ribbon cutting with local farmers who offer a variety of farm-fresh, nutritious fruits and vegetables!"
