School Playgrounds Reopen in NYC for First Time in Three Months
New York - The public school yards that have doubled as neighborhood playgrounds in recent years have reopened for the first time in nearly four months.
Children were frolicking in the schoolyard on 14th Ave. and 43rd Street, one of several that have playground equipment such as swing sets, sliding ponds and climbing sets.
Parks and playgrounds opened in the city last week, but schoolyards were not included in the Phase 2 allowances.
