Satmar Yeshiva Gets Permits to Open in Swan Lake as College Campus

Queens - The large Satmar yeshiva gedola announced on Friday that they have received the neccessary permits to open a summer camp in Swan Lake, with strict guidelines and under the guise of a college campus.
The permission relates specifically to a yeshiva gedola program and is not related to the current fight to get camps open. Post-high schools are constitutionally allowed to open as long as they can show they will comply with guidelines to counter a coronavirus spread.
The Satmar yeshiva in Queens, which is affiliated with the kehilla in Williamsburg, will operate as the UTS Swan Lake Campus and will require the bochurim to adhere to social distancing rules.
