RFK Jr To Appear On NY’s Ballot In November

By Idy Perl

RFK Junior made a stop in Brooklyn for a press event where he announced that he has enough signatures to appear on NY’s presidential ballot in November.

Kennedy is a former Democrat who is now running as an Independent candidate. Independent candidates are required to petition in each state to get a number of signatures in order to appear on the ballot in November. The required number of signatures varies for each state but totals over 1 million altogether. NY requires 45,000 signatures, which RFK’s campaign team says he has.

At the press conference RFK also proposed a “no spoiler” agreement between him and Biden, in which the lower polling candidate would drop out of the race. It would entail him and Biden to co-fund a 50-state poll of at least 30,000 voters to determine which candidate is the “spoiler,” or the one most likely to lose to Trump.

“Ultimately, I think what we all want in this election is for Americans not to feel like they have to vote out of fear,” Kennedy told reporters. “That they feel like they can vote out of hope. And that is only going to happen if there’s a two-way race between me and President Trump or me and President Biden.”

According to his website, RFK already qualifies to appear on the ballot in 10 states, including Hawaii, California, Iowa, and some others.
