Ramapo Police Reaches Out to Local Community to Learn More on Community Policing

Top ranking officers from the Ramapo Police department beached our to NYPD 66th Precinct Inspector King to learn more on community relations when it comes to policing.

Ramapo Police cover an area over 60 square miles in Monsey, and they’ve never had a community affairs unit within the police department.

Inspector King invited local community leaders to the office of Misaskim and sat down for a meeting with Rabbi Yanky Meyer and other leaders along with the Ramapo Police to learn more about the relationship between community and police.

The meeting took place last Wednesday and lasted for over 2 hours. The Ramapo Police learned about how local leaders and the NYPD are in constant contact including prior to Holidays and other Jewish highlights in an effort to better secure and protect the Jewish community in Boro Park.
