Prospect Park Zoo Announces They Will Reopen This Spring

After almost 8 months, the Prospect Park Zoo is finally reopening. 

Eight months ago, the Wildlife Conservation Society announced that flooding from Tropical Storm Ophelia damaged the boilers, HVAC, and electrical systems in the zoo, forcing it to close. 

Local residents are surprised at how long it has taken for the zoo to finish repairs and reopen the zoo. Many Yidden have missed the zoo in the past Chol Hamoed Sukkos and Pesach, and are eagerly awaiting the reopening. 

The zoo’s social media accounts confirmed that they’re anticipating the zoo to reopen this spring, with an exact date to be announced soon.
