Pro-Palestinian Protest Expected to Hit Boro Park on Tuesday, Sparking Fear and Concern

A protest organized by the Palestinian Assembly for Liberation is set to take place in the predominantly Jewish neighborhood of Boro Park on Tuesday, sparking tensions and concerns among local residents.
Although the group has protested in other areas before, this is the first time a protest like this is targeting the Orthodox Jewish community in Boro Park.
The group plans to protest on Tuesday at 6 p.m., with a location to be determined. Local residents are expressing concerns and hopes that the NYPD will prevent this targeted intimidation protest from happening.
“I'm appalled that this group would intentionally choose to protest in a neighborhood that is overwhelmingly Jewish," said a local resident. "This is not a legitimate exercise of free speech, but rather a hateful attempt to intimidate and harass our community."
The NYPD said it is aware of the posters circulating and is monitoring the planned protest, which in past instances has had little to no show.
