Private Sector Jobs Lost in NYC During the Pandemic Have Been Recovered

by Mindy Cohn
The New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli says that New York City has recovered more than 99 percent of the total number of private sector jobs that existed pre-pandemic.
According to reports by DiNapoli, securities, transportation, office sectors, and warehousing were the industries that experienced the most significant increase. Restaurants, retail, construction, and tourism still need to take further steps before experiencing a full recovery compared to statistics from before March 2020.
