President Trump Tests Negative for COVID, His Doctor Says He Is No Longer Infectious

President Donald Trump tested negative for the COVID-19 virus today, and he is no longer infectious to others, according to Sean P. Conley, D.O., the physician to the president.

Using the Abbott BimaxNOW antigen card, the president has tested negative for COVID-19 on consecutive days, Kayleigh McEnany, the assistant to the president and the White House press secretary just released in a memo.

“It is important to note that this test was not used in isolation for the determination of the president’s current negative status,” Dr. Conley said in the memo.

Trump’s negative test was taken in context with additional clinical and laboratory data, including viral load, subgenomic RNA, and PCR cycle threshold measurements, as well as ongoing assessment of viral culture data, to indicate together a lack of detectable viral replication, McEnany’s memo said.
